Ward Group are proud to announce the 100% ownership of the Three Tuns Student Accommodation (PBSA) site in the heart of Durham City.

This strategic acquisition forms part of our rapidly growing PBSA portfolio, as we continue to invest in high-quality, well-located student accommodation across the region.

This landmark site, blending modern student blocks with the character of the original street-front hotel conversion, provides 200 high-quality beds, including studios, cluster flats, three spacious courtyards, and a variety of amenity spaces for residents to enjoy.

We are making significant investments to uplift and enhance the standard of accommodation across the site — ensuring it meets the evolving needs of Durham’s student community.

The buyout marks PHASE 1 of our long-term vision to revitalise and improve this key PBSA asset.

We recently completed a student accommodation renovation above one of our historic pubs in Durham.

At nearly 450 years old, the building presented its fair share of challenges, but we successfully transformed the upper floor in only three weeks!

If you’re in Durham, we highly recommend visiting The Elm Tree – one of the city’s oldest and cosiest pubs!
