We haven’t seen this directly affect fixed rates as of yet and we may not, but anyone with fixed products expiring within the next 6 months, it’s worth a call to see what options you do have.

The Bank of England has decided to raise the base interest rate from 1.25% to 1.75%, the biggest rate hike for 27 years.

With yet another increase and the Bank of England Base rate now at 1%, we are seeing increases on fixed rates.

We have been contacting anyone who’s fixed rates are looking to expire within as many as 6 months.

Anyone who hasn’t managed to make contact with us or believe they should have been contacted, please be in touch for us to take a look at what options are available.

The Bank of England has increased base rates to 0.75% from 0.5% after the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) voted in favour of a rise. The base rate is used by the central bank to charge other banks and lenders when they borrow money – and influences what borrowers pay and savers earn.

Finally managed to change the business name to Dunstable Mortgage Advice centre!! So it is me and this has been the new trading name for over a year!! So first post now up and running and it’s not an amazing one I’m afraid.

Another increase means a lot of those low interest rate 2 and 5 year fixed rates are disappearing and we have been making an effort to contact anyone who’s fixed rate is ending,to try and secure as best rate we can as early as possible.

If your rate is ending anytime soon please feel free to be in touch as you can start the process up to 5 months early with some lenders!!
