It is with profound sadness that the Board of Directors, Supervisors and Staff of Torrent Credit Union Limited learned of the sad passing of our esteemed friend and colleague, Mary Murray (née Mallon), on 28th June 2026.

Mary, of 6 Coolmaghery Road, Donaghmore, BT70 3HJ, was the dearly beloved wife of the late Brendan (R.I.P.), precious daughter of the late Peggy and Josie (R.I.P.), and a much-loved sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend. Our heartfelt condolences are extended to her entire family circle at this very sad and difficult time.

For over 45 years, Mary gave outstanding and dedicated service to Torrent Credit Union as a valued member of both the Board of Directors and the Supervisory Committee. Her quiet, professional manner, unwavering diligence and commitment ensured that the highest standards of service were always provided to our members.

Mary carried out every aspect of her role with the utmost professionalism, integrity and care. Alongside her fellow Supervisors, Dermot and Charlie, she formed a remarkable team whose guidance, wisdom and support were deeply appreciated by both the Board of Directors and the staff.

Mary was a friend to everyone she met. Her kindness, humility and steadfast dedication to the Credit Union movement have left a lasting legacy that will never be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by all at Torrent Credit Union and throughout the wider community.

May God grant Mary eternal rest and bring comfort to all who mourn her.
