Well, it's been quite the weekend! 🖤🤍⚽
Saturday saw another fantastic afternoon at New Countess Park, with Dunbar United FC continuing their brilliant start to the season.
It was great to spend some time around the club, meet players, supporters and volunteers, and finally put some faces to names. I also discovered that a few people were starting to recognise The Bearded Broker, which was both flattering and slightly concerning! 😂🧔
Emma Campbell, the kids and I were lucky enough to spend both days down at the football and Hallhill, and it was fantastic to see so many local families out enjoying everything that was going on.
Sunday was just as enjoyable at the New Hallhill Sports Centre Family Fun Day. The event was a real success and a great reminder of how lucky we are to have fantastic community facilities and people here in Dunbar.
A special mention has to go to Bobby Peters, who was working his final official day at Hallhill before retirement. Thank you for everything you've done for the community over the years and for the countless people who have enjoyed the facilities because of your hard work and dedication. Wishing you a long, healthy and well-deserved retirement.
I'd also like to give a shout out to Harry George McCulloch, who does a tremendous job managing Dunbar United's social media. The creativity, effort and time that goes into producing content, promoting the club and keeping everyone updated doesn't go unnoticed. The club's social media presence has been outstanding and is a huge part of helping connect the club with the wider community.
Weekends like this remind you that clubs, facilities and community organisations don't run themselves. They're powered by good people giving up their time and energy to make things happen.

🤝 | MEET THE FACE BEHIND THE BEARDED BROKER
Before yesterday’s match we were delighted to welcome Ross Stisi of Stisi Group - Home of The Bearded Broker, whose familiar face and logo proudly features on the front of our fantastic new home shirt.
Ross kindly allowed us to grab a few photos of him and his family with the shirt, as well as getting his picture taken with two of yesterday’s goalscorers, Dan Hall and Jason Craig.
A couple of the players even asked while the photos were being taken, “Is that the man behind the logo?” and you can certainly see why, as it’s his absolute double! 😆
Speaking about the idea behind his logo and sponsoring The Seasiders, Ross said: “It was something I’d been looking at doing for a while. I wanted something a bit different to help promote my business, and what better way to have it on display than at our local football club.”
Stisi Group is the home of The Bearded Broker. They help people understand mortgages and home ownership through straightforward advice and expert guidance.
