Brite futures are recruiting Temp to perm support workers for our new children’s residential service in Doncaster.

As a support worker you will provide care and support to children and young people with complex needs which enables each individual to achieve their full potential.

Key duties will include:

- supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living

- supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations

- keeping records in line with regulatory requirements

- safe handling of medication

- organising and participating in a variety of onsite and offsite activities

- supporting learning experiences in school and at home

Please note this role will include personal care.

What are we looking for :

- flexibility as shifts can include early shifts , late shifts and nights on both weekdays , weekends and bank holidays

- a commitment to providing quality and person centred care and support

- ability to work under pressure

- excellent communication skills

- ability to work as part of a team

- driving licence (preferred but not essential)

Qualifications and Skills required:

- (Essential)level 2 Diploma for residential childcare or an equivalent qualification / (Desirable) Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification

- (Desirable) The applicant will have experience within a social care setting working with children and young people with complex need and challenging behaviour

Please note you must be 21 years of over to apply for this position this is due to Ofsted regulations to ensure all employees are at least 4 years older than the eldest person in our home.

Key duties will include:

- lead and supervise a team of staff to ensure they carry out their duties

- undertake agreed and delegated management responsibilities

- oversee and ensure all staff are effectively providing a high standard of person centred care and effectively managing complex and challenging behaviour

- supporting individuals with all aspects of daily living

- supporting individuals to achieve their goals and aspirations

- keeping records in line with regulatory requirements

- order , store and administer medication
Safely

- organise and participate in a variety of onsite and offsite activities

- supporting learning experiences in school and at home

Please note this role will include personal care.

What are we looking for :
