Financial planning isn’t something that happens once and then gets ticked off a list.

Life changes.

Priorities shift.
Circumstances evolve.
New questions come up over time.

That’s why ongoing advice is less about “having a plan”…

and more about having someone to come back to.

Someone who understands your situation.

I don't do this very often, but I wanted to share something a little personal today.
 
When I started out on my self-employed journey as a Financial Planner nearly 5 years ago, I honestly wasn't sure how it would go. Building something from scratch, around a busy family life, with all the self-doubt that comes with that, it has been overwhelming at times.
 
But you all showed up. You have trusted me with some of the most important financial decisions of your lives, you have recommended me to people you care about, and you've kept showing up. And because of that, my business has grown more than I ever expected.
 
So first, thank you. Genuinely from the bottom of my heart.  I wanted to do this role for many years but I held myself back.
 
Because of that growth, I'm making a decision that feels scary to say out loud but is the right one,  I'm limiting the number of new clients I can take on over the next few months. I'm focusing on the clients I am currently working with, the behind-the-scenes work,  investing in my processes, systems, making sure that every single client gets the experience they deserve and that I want to deliver. So please bare with me ❤️
 
But,  if you've been thinking about working with me and keep putting it off, now is the time to drop me a message. I'm keeping a small waiting list for people who want to get started and as soon as I can open some space then I will contact you first.

It might sound surprising, but financial planning doesn’t usually begin with numbers.
It starts with questions like:

What do you want life to look like?
What matters most to you?
What would “feeling secure” actually mean for you?

Because without that…

Numbers don’t really mean very much.

A plan only works when it reflects your life — not just a set of figures on a page.

That’s why understanding your goals always comes first.
Everything else builds from there.

One thing people often say to me is:

“I wouldn’t even know where to start…”

And that’s completely understandable.

Reaching out to a financial planner can feel like a big step — especially if you’re not sure what to expect.

But the first conversation is usually much simpler than people imagine.

It’s not about numbers straight away. It’s about understanding you.

Your situation.
Your priorities.
What’s on your mind.

Often, it’s just a chance to talk things through and get a bit more clarity on where you stand.
No pressure. No obligation. Just a starting point.

Too many unknowns.
Too many decisions.

So it gets parked.

Not forever.  Just for now.

But 'for now' has a habit of becoming years.

Most conversations start somewhere much simpler.
 
Am I doing enough?
Have I left things too late?
Could I be making better decisions?
 
My role isn't to overwhelm you with information - 
it's to help you step back, understand where you are, and think clearly about what comes next.

If I’m honest… I’ve been a little quiet on here lately.
Not because I’ve disappeared, quite the opposite.
I’ve been busy behind the scenes doing what I do best…

Helping my clients feel more in control of their finances, plan for the future and actually sleep at night knowing things are sorted.

But here’s the thing —

I want to be more present. For you.

Because understanding your finances shouldn’t feel overwhelming, confusing or something you keep putting off.

So, if you’re:

I honestly don’t know where this year has gone. It’s been an incredibly busy start to the year, both personally and in business, something I’m always grateful for.

Now it’s time to take a little break and spend some time away with my family over the Easter holidays.

A chance to recharge, reset and slow things down (which is very much needed for us all)

I can’t wait to see the sea, catch a sunrise or two (and a sunset), and spend some quality time with my favourite people.
