We had a great day out across Derbyshire yesterday with Derbyshire County Council and Stop Loan Sharks England, speaking with local people about savings, affordable loans, financial wellbeing and the dangers of illegal money lending.

During our visit to County Hall in Matlock, we also had a really positive conversation with a Derbyshire County Councillor about the support available to local people and the importance of organisations working together across our communities.

We’re proud to work alongside Derbyshire County Council and Stop Loan Sharks and look forward to continuing to build these partnerships.

A big thank you to everyone who stopped and had a chat with us throughout the day! 😊

It's always lovely to see positive stories about Derbyshire Community Bank being shared beyond our own channels.

Following the recent visit from Derby South MP Baggy Shanker, we've been featured by a number of local and regional news outlets. The coverage highlights the work we do every day to support local people, alongside our commitment to developing our team and investing in the future of community finance.

A big thank you to everyone who has supported and shared our story. Every bit of coverage helps more people discover what a credit union is and how we can help our communities.

Today we welcomed students from the University of Derby to Derbyshire Community Bank for our Volunteer Open Day at our Cubo office in Derby city centre.

It was a great opportunity to introduce who we are, why community banking matters and how volunteers can help shape our future.

The engagement throughout the day was brilliant. The students asked some excellent questions, shared fresh ideas and weren't afraid to challenge our thinking which is exactly what we encourage.

We believe the best ideas often come from fresh perspectives, and we're excited to see what they'll bring during their placements.
