Y’all, I am so shocked right now.

My son is almost 3. He is level 3 autistic and nonverbal. For over a year, he has only eaten Pediasure, cheese, chicken nuggets, and apples. That’s it.

Last night, my wife and older son made raisin bread in the new bread maker we got for Christmas. I had some on my plate, and out of nowhere, he snatched a piece, started eating it, and was dancing while he ate.

Y’all have no idea how happy that made me.

It really is the small things sometimes. ❤️

Hi everyone, I’m new to the group and wanted to introduce myself.

My name is Kimberly, and I have three children. My oldest son is 20, my middle son is 18, and my youngest, my only girl, is 16 months old.

My son Luke is my autistic child. He has been diagnosed with autism, global developmental delays, epilepsy, low muscle tone, and pica. Developmentally, he is around 6 to 7 years old.

This is my sweet warrior, Luke. ❤️

This is my 18-year-old daughter, who is autistic, walking across the stage in May. It was such a proud moment, but she is still upset because she did not receive a diploma or certificate.

She is now back in high school for at least another year. I understand that she is there to keep learning important independent living skills, but it has been very confusing and disappointing for her after seeing others receive their diplomas.

We are still so proud of her and everything she has accomplished. ❤️

Hey everyone. 🩵

This is my sweet boy, Roman-AJ. He will be turning 4 on the 12th. He is nonverbal and is currently fighting stage 4 cancer.

Edit: A few people have asked about sending him cards, and he would absolutely love that. He doesn’t receive many from family, and we don’t really have friends nearby, so it would mean so much.

Please feel free to message me. I don’t have many mummy friends either, and I would love to connect with some of you on here. 💕

My son had his autism evaluation today, and the doctor, who was an older gentleman, told my husband that we should move to Hollywood because our son is more handsome than Brad Pitt. 🤣

My little guy had the best time playing with all the toys. I thought today was going to feel heavy, but instead, my heart feels peaceful. ❤️

He was diagnosed with Level 2 autism, and they recommended full-time ABA therapy for the next 12 to 18 months. I’m honestly just grateful to finally have a clearer map of what to do next.

This is my 5-year-old daughter. We are going back to the doctor again, and I have been taking her almost every week because I am desperate to get answers and a diagnosis so we can finally get the help she needs.

I had to take her out of school because they were calling me every day by 10:00 to come pick her up. I also had to quit my job.

She has severe angry outbursts where she destroys things and throws anything in her way. I cannot take her to the store because she has horrible meltdowns. When she gets angry, she hits and kicks, and these outbursts happen several times a day.

We recently started therapy, and she had her first session last week. During that session, she destroyed the therapist’s office.

Her daddy and I are doing everything we can to find help for her. We love her so much, and we just want to understand what is going on and get her the support she needs.

Hello everyone, I’ve recently run into a problem and I’m hoping for some advice.

My 3-year-old daughter has been diagnosed with level 3 autism and is nonverbal. She is also on the petite side due to genetics and other medical conditions.

She has to wear a harness on the school bus, but for safety reasons, they won’t allow her to wear her coat while she’s strapped in — similar to car seat safety rules. I’m not sure what else to do besides putting a thinner jacket or warm layer under her bigger coat so she still has something over her clothes to keep her warm.

There is no aide on any of her buses, only the driver. I’m also not able to drive her myself because my fiancé has to leave for work before school starts.

I’m just looking for advice before it starts snowing. It’s already getting down into the 30s some days here in Ohio.

Thank you.
