This is an exciting new position for an accountant within the EAO team who will be responsible for the preparation of statutory financial accounts and corporation tax returns. You will be joining us at time of significant growth for ourselves and within our client businesses. We are looking for qualified and experienced people who share our values and passion for seeing our clients thrive.
Working with a portfolio of the clients, the role consists of analysing financial information and preparing financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organisation.
Responsibilities:
• Preparation and reconciliations required to produce Statutory Financial Statements and all notes to the accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and policies.
• The completion of year-end accounts, CT600, and Corporation Tax computations.
• Liaise with clients (individuals or businesses) and provide financial information and advice.
• Monthly bookkeeping, including sales and purchase ledger processing, bank reconciliations, month end reconciliations.
• Analyse business operations to accurately forecast income, expenditure and cashflow.
• Prepare & examine financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
• Prepare accounts and management information.
• Prepare and reconcile VAT Returns.
• Self-Assessment tax returns and tax planning for sole traders
• Payroll
• Report to management regarding the finances of a business.
Qualifications and requirements
• Candidates must be based in the UK
• Level 4 AAT Qualified (minimum)/ACA/ACCA
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in practice
• Ability to build and maintain excellent client relationships.
• Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions.
• Ability to identify complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
