We had to get a clip of the moment MP Gareth Thomas mentioned us in Parliament!

He highlighted how we supported Coventry entrepreneur Dal Dhillon with his amazing project Dhillon's Brewery when the company was seeking finance to grow.

Dal's story is a perfect example of why human led lending matters. We took the time to understand the business and the entrepreneur behind it, looking beyond algorithms and sector biases to see the real potential in the business.

Dal's businesses have gone on to become a staple in the city of Coventry with a new food hall and bar development called Elle's Bar coming soon!

This is what sets CDFIs apart. We listen, we understand and we back businesses that traditional lenders often overlook.

Yesterday was the grand opening of Saffron Table , a new Indian restaurant we have supported in Nuneaton town centre!

Falguni and Manjit came to us with a dream of opening their own restaurant. Their business plan was impressive, their passion was very clear we were more than happy to help make it happen.

They were an excellent fit for Warwickshire County Council's Local Communities Enterprise Fund, a fund designed to support businesses across the county.

Our loans officer, David Owen, worked closely with them to refine and perfect their already strong business plan, helping them secure the full £150,000 loan to bring their vision to life.

The excitement in Nuneaton was brilliant to see, even Mayor Bhim Saru attended the grand opening celebrations!

We're confident that Saffron Table will be a fantastic addition to Nuneaton town centre and we can't wait to see it flourish.
