We are pleased to introduce the next member of our team, Caroline. She joined us in 2013 and currently serves as the Head of our Accounts Department.

An interesting fact about Caroline is that she hails from Yorkshire, and her most cherished possessions are her four grandchildren, three of whom have varying shades of red hair!

Next, we are pleased to introduce Yas, who joined the AKR team in 2017.

Yas brings a wealth of experience from her previous role as a Hotel Manager, successfully transitioning into her current position as our Renewals Manager. Recently, she has also expanded her expertise into the Travel Insurance market.

A fun fact about Yas: she serves as a trustee for Mikey's Wish Foundation, a charity dedicated to supporting speech and language needs across the UK. This includes assistance for Apraxia of Speech, a condition that affects her son, Ethan.

To kick us off we have our newest member of the team Emily

She joined AKR Insurance right before the lockdown in 2020. With a strong background in customer service from her time as Cabin Crew, she brings a wealth of experience to our team. Recently, she has been tasked with modernising AKR by integrating new technology and exploring the world of social media—an area that the boss, as many of you know, has never dared to tread!

A fun fact about Emily is that she was an Artistic swimmer (formerly known as Synchronised swimming) for many years! She displayed incredible dedication to the sport, only stepping away when she was 19 weeks pregnant with her first child!
