Last week, some of the team attended a networking breakfast hosted by Farming Connect
It was a great opportunity to hear more about the support and guidance available through the programme, as well as spending time discussing current challenges, opportunities and ideas with fellow professionals from across the agricultural sector.

Events like these are always valuable for sharing knowledge, building relationships and keeping conversations moving within the industry.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month — a reminder that mental health matters just as much as physical health.

In agriculture, the pressures can be constant. Weather uncertainty, rising costs, long hours, isolation, succession pressures, and the responsibility of keeping farms and businesses going can take a real toll.

We work closely with farming families and rural businesses every day, and we know that behind every business are people carrying a lot on their shoulders.

Checking in, having conversations, and asking for support when needed are signs of strength — not weakness.

We just want to say to everyone in our farming communities: you are not alone, and your wellbeing matters.

Let’s continue to look out for one another, support open conversations, and help break the stigma around mental health in rural communities.

Last week some of the team attended Lloyds’ post-Budget event focused on the agricultural sector. It was a great opportunity to step back, listen, and reflect on what the latest Budget really means for the farming clients and businesses we work with.
Inheritance Tax and succession planning were understandably big talking points, highlighting the ongoing challenges farmers and landowners continue to face – rising costs, uncertainty, and the pressure of planning for the next generation.

The presentations were incredibly informative, and it was great to see so many fellow professionals coming together to share their knowledge and perspectives. Events like this are a real reminder of the value of collaboration across our industry.
