Fab feedback! 🥳

We had some amazing responses following our Leadership Excellence event last month, with many principals noting the value of the presentations, networking opportunities and stunning setting – the beautiful Ansty Hall in the Midlands.

One such happy customer was Bal Dhaliwal from The Mortgage Mogul:

“It was very well organised, and I got some great tips from fellow practice principals as we all face the same daily challenges.”

Thank you to all our principals who joined us and made the event a success!

At Primis, we aim to deliver consistent, good customer outcomes. 🤝

We’ve defined seven statements to ensure consumer duty stays at the heart of everything we do. We call them the Significant Seven.

We’d like to explain each of our Customer Outcomes and how they help us embed Consumer Duty into our everyday. 💚

Our first Customer Outcome is:

“Our customers, including those who might be vulnerable, find us easy to contact and deal with."

How does this support Consumer Duty?

The FCA encourages brokers to assess how they communicate with and support their customers while considering various needs, such as accessibility and digital confidence. Creating clear lines of communication builds trust and strengthens customer relationships.

The Bank of England has voted to keep the Base Rate at 3.75%. Read Chief Distribution Officer, Emma Hollingworth’s reaction to the news. 🏦

"Today's decision to hold rates tells us the Bank of England is nervous about the state of the economy and the labour market. While first quarter growth was stronger-than-expected, contraction in April shows that the situation in the Middle East is starting to take its toll.

"A ceasefire, if it holds, is exactly what the Bank would have wanted. Energy prices have been the biggest source of inflation risk, and a de-escalation would remove pressure that's been complicating the policy outlook. Our default view is that rates stay where they are for the foreseeable future, but that assumption rests entirely on the ceasefire holding.

"While the Bank has chosen to hold rates today, brokers should still proactively reach out to clients approaching the end of their fixed deal. Today’s decision and yesterday’s inflation reading suggests that mortgage rates will likely stay where they are for the time being, but the situation in the Middle East remains fragile and could shift quickly. So, the message is simple: secure a rate while you can."

Protection Forum reveals the challenges of selling income protection during the cost-of-living crisis. 🏡

In Craig Hall’s latest article, our Director, Strategic Partnerships discusses the catch 22 currently affecting the Protection industry:

“Findings from our Protection Forum last month showed an emerging paradox. On the one hand, the cost-of-living squeeze is making income protection more relevant. On the other, it makes affordability the biggest barrier to putting that cover in place.”

UK inflation stays steady at 2.8%. Read Emma Hollingworth’s reaction in The Intermediary. 📰

Today’s data, released by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), reveals inflation remained unchanged in the 12 months to May, reinforcing expectations that the Bank of England will keep the base rate at its current rate of 3.75%.

Our Chief Distribution Officer, Emma Hollingworth commented on what the news may mean for borrowers:

“For borrowers, today’s data means fixed-rate mortgage pricing is likely to stay broadly stable in the short term. But anyone on a standard variable rate or approaching a remortgage window should act quickly as the situation can change fast.”

Great news for Primis brokers! 📢

We’ve now added a sole tie option with Uinsure, giving adviser firms the choice to consolidate their general insurance proposition into a single, streamlined system. 🔁

The new approach enables an efficient experience, reducing duplication and additional data input.

Craig Hall, Primis’ Director, Strategic Partnerships commented on the development:

“The addition of a sole tie option with Uinsure reflects Primis’ commitment to giving its adviser firms the tools and partnerships they need to grow."

Phil Carr, Director of Intermediary at Uinsure added:

"Primis has been clear about what their adviser firms need to grow, and we're proud to be the partner they've chosen to make it happen.”
