The Renters Right Reform Bill - One of the biggest changes to housing law in history!

The changes to the law include banning no fault evictions, the end of fixed term tenancy contracts and an end to 'bidding wars' plus clearer rules around tenants and pets.

What does it mean for you?

If you have or are considering a BTL property, then you need to make sure you are aware of the new rules and how that could affect you in the future.

There is now more protection for tenants which really is a good thing and clear guidelines for landlords which is also a good thing!

If you would like to review your BTL property, portfolio or are looking to buy a rental property now or in the future, get in touch and we can look at your options.

Get to know the law, speak to a letting agent and your broker.

The Bank of England voted to HOLD the base rate today at 3.75%.

Despite a hold today, we could expect an increase at some point in 2026 with some political instability and worries around inflation increasing over the year.

We won't know what will happen but if you have a mortgage fixed rate ending in the next 6 months, get in touch and we can discuss your options.

It's better to look at it now, rather than try and leave it to the last minute.

Get in touch for all things mortgages!

Great News!

The Bank of England have reduced the base rate to 4.75% from 5% with its second reduction this year.

This is good news for borrowers but will not affect you if you are already in a fixed rate.

Let's hope the good news continues with mortgage rates!

The Bank of England agreed to hold the Base Rate at 5.25%.

This is the 4th decision in a row to hold, following 14 consecutive increases.

There is suggestion that inflation will fall ahead of forecasts, so fingers crossed this could mean future Base Rate reductions 🤞

We'll continue to keep an eye on interest rates and if you are ever concerned or need to review your current mortgage or are looking to buy, feel free to get in touch.
