🐾 A night celebrating some of the Police Family's four-legged heroes 🐾

Last week, our CEO, Caroline Domanski MBE, attended the Thin Blue Paw Foundation Awards at The Royal Kennel Club in London, recognising the extraordinary contribution of serving and retired police dogs.

Hosted by BBC News presenter Richard Preston, who had the audience laughing with his observation that "When picking up after your partner really does mean picking up after your partner!"

The stories behind the award winners were truly inspiring:
🐶 Frankie received the Bravery Award just six months into service.
🐶 Boss, once found as a stray on the streets of Norfolk, is now a decorated police dog.
🐶 Captain received the Lifetime Achievement Award after years of dedicated service.

Alongside Jasper, a victim recovery dog, and Paul, who represented military working dogs and even worked at the King's Coronation, their stories highlighted the courage, loyalty and resilience shown by police dogs every day.

The Thin Blue Paw Foundation provides vital support to serving and retired police dogs, helping to fund life-saving medical treatment, rehabilitation and retirement care for dogs who have spent their lives protecting our communities.

Earlier this year, the Friends of No1 CopperPot Prize Draw Committee selected the Thin Blue Paw Foundation to receive a £10,000 donation from Prize Draw profits. The donation helps support the Foundation's ongoing work for police dogs and their handlers, including dogs like Riley, whose life-saving treatment was funded through the charity. 💙

A huge congratulations to all five award winners, their handlers, and everyone involved in making the evening such a success. Founder, Kieran Stanbridge has a commitment to this cause that is truly inspiring, and a fantastic time was had by everyone.

As part of our 40 for 40 anniversary challenge, colleagues across No1 CopperPot have come together to support causes that matter to them and make a positive difference in our communities.

Behind every fallen officer are families, friends and colleagues who continue to carry their loss. Today gives us the opportunity to honour their courage, dedication and sacrifice, pay our respects, and ensure they are never forgotten.
