On a rare visit from his Forest Garden in Norway, Stephen will share tales of the plant adventures that led to his record breaking salad in 2003 - with 537 different plant-based ingredients!

Youth Options @ The Hilt
Open access winter sessions run every Friday at 6pm – 8.30pm
A place to make friends, relax, and try new things!
Looking for something to do in Chandler’s Ford/Hiltingbury? Join us for a drink and something to eat, take part in some great activities, make new friends, or spend time with old ones, and chat to our friendly team who will be on hand with any help and guidance you might need.
Funded by Eastleigh Borough Council (https://www.eastleigh.gov.uk/our-community/young-people/borough-youth-centres) and Chandler’s Ford Parish Council and provided by Youth Options (https://youthoptions.org.uk/what-we-do/prevention)
Tuesday Evenings at 6pm - 9pm for additional needs
Solent Youth Action provide supported youth activities for young people with additional needs. This is a relaxed club for local teenagers to meet with their friends in a safe environment with the expertise of the Solent Youth Action youth workers.
Attendees must sign up prior to access this session, then they are free to come and go knowing that they have a base with friendly support when they need to talk about life’s ups and downs away from home.

Disney's Encanto Sing-Along Film Showing

We are delighted to be showing Disney's Encanto Sing-Along film (PG) on Saturday 28th October.

Book your tickets on The Hilt website's What's On page. Scan the QR code on the poster below or follow the link in the comments below.

Start Time : 3.00pm - Doors open at 2.30pm

Run time is 102 minutes and will finish around 4.45pm

Children must be accompanied by an adult throughout the performance. Refreshments will be available at the start and durring the interval.

Our first Book Fair at The Hilt was a success!

With a room full of authors, poets, and readers, there were lots of great conversations, and plans for future books made.

Huge thanks to all of the stallholders and everyone who attended. And another big thank you to all of the very kind people who donated cakes to the kitchen; they were delicious!

Now, shall we do another one? Would you like to be involved in bringing more FREE events like this to the community? If so please message us as we are always looking for volunteers.

REMINDER - only 2 weeks until we are hosting an Independent Book Fair at The Hilt, supporting local talent in all areas of book making.

Today we introduce Claire Gradidge who was born and brought up in Romsey. After a career as, among other things, a nurse and a school librarian, she went to the University of Wi******er, where she graduated in 2009 with a first class honours BA in Creative Writing.

In January 2018, she was awarded a PhD in creative writing and The Unexpected Return of Josephine Fox was written as the creative element of her PhD study, which went on to win the Richard and Judy Search for a Bestseller competition.

An active member of the creative writing community, she is a founder member of Chandlers Ford Writers and participates in local writing events, including as a judge for poetry and prose competitions.
