Established in 1976 with offices in Caterham and Lingfield. We pride ourselves on providing an excellent service. The firm started as Chartered Accountants by Roger Lugg in 1976 and moved to its present offices in 1978. The Lingfield office was acquired in 1986 whilst Levy & Co was merged in 2008. The firm's two partners are members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, a

nd are also members of the Chartered Institute of Taxation. At present we have eight other Qualified members of staff together with one who is an ex Inspector of Taxes. Our main function, as Chartered Accountants and Chartered Tax Advisers, is the provision of all accounting, tax and related business management advice to all types of businesses. We specialise in the small owner managed businesses who in particular need advice in today’s complex regulatory environment as well as being Licensed for Probate. We are Registered Auditors so we can express opinions on limited company accounts. We can of course complete “Independent Reviews” when these are required for Charities and Pension Funds.

We're hiring for a bookeeper/management accounts in our Caterham offices.

Role will include:
- Setting up clients initially on the various software.
- Ability to keep and enter records and perform all the reconciliations on the accountancy
software to provide the qualified accountants a trial balance ready for the year end
accounts.
- Extract information from the software to run reports and manipulate data for the clients
for management accounts purposes and for internal use.
- Assist clients with their queries on the software day to day, particularly where both the
firm and the client access and use the data.
- Liaise with the clients to obtain all the information required for the VAT and quarterly
accounts.
- Deal with VAT registrations and other VAT situations, e.g. EC sales lists

Essential for the role of Bookkeeper:
Bookkeeping experience gained in an accounting practice
Experienced reporting up to Trial Balance
Experienced in Sage, QuickBooks and Xero
Excellent communication skills
Enjoy liaising with Clients over the phone on bookkeeping queries
Strong Microsoft Office including Excel

Desirable:
AAT or equivalent
Salary dependent on experience

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Accounts Preparation and Tax Accountant to join an established, rapidly growing accountancy practice. The practice offers a full range of accounting and taxation services to a widely varied client portfolio of small to medium sized owner managed businesses throughout the area.

This position will be based between our Caterham office (CR3) and Lingfield, Surrey (RH7).

Your role will include
• Manage a portfolio of clients
• Preparation of statutory financial statements under FRS102 and FRS105
• Preparation of sole trader/partnership accounts
• Deal with complex taxation areas
• Preparing of corporation tax computations and returns
• Preparing of individual self-assessment tax returns
• Dealing with HMRC
• Advising on client’s queries.

Required
• Must be ACA or ACCA qualified.
• Worked in practice, 4 years (Required)
• Ideal candidate will have excellent all-round accounts and tax experience
• Limited company accounts preparation: 3 years (Required)
• Personal self-assessment tax return: 3 years (Required)
• Corporation tax return: 3 years (Required)
• Strong IT and communication skills are essential
• Driver essential due to location
• You have strong organisational skills with ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to prioritise, multi-task and work under pressure
• Ideally experience with CCH Central
