On 23rd October, teams across the Group will be taking part in Wear It Pink, a charity bake sale and our Pink Pumpkin Challenge to raise awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Now.

When an experienced investor wanted to acquire 112 lock-up garages across 9 sites, many lenders were hesitant because of the specialist nature of the assets.

This client success story was led by our Commercial Manager, Ben Gauci, who focused on the client’s proven track record and the strength of their existing portfolio.

Ben secured acquisition funding from a Tier 1 high street bank at 6.13% fixed for 3 years, helping the client take the next step in their growth journey.

Get to Know Jack Phipps 👋

💭 The reason I joined Cornerstone:
I joined Cornerstone to develop my knowledge and experience within the finance sector. Having previously worked in insurance, I wanted to challenge myself by moving into the mortgage industry. I chose Cornerstone specifically as they are a growing and innovative company whose aims and culture closely align with mine.

📚 My biggest learning moment so far:
Getting to grips with mortgage processes and the wider industry has been a new challenge. Every day has been a learning opportunity, and the support, training and willingness of colleagues to answer my many questions has helped me grow in confidence.

⚽ When I'm not working:
I enjoy keeping active through football, taking my dog on long days out, and spending time with family and friends. I'm also quite happy treating myself to a solo lunch or day trip now and then.

🏉 A fun fact:
I've studied French and have had the opportunity to work around some of the best teams in world football and rugby.

💭 The reason I joined Cornerstone:
I was looking for a place where I could grow, take on new challenges and be part of a supportive team. From day one, it's been a great environment to learn, collaborate and develop both personally and professionally.

📚 My biggest learning moment so far:
Building confidence in my own abilities. Stepping outside my comfort zone and taking on new challenges has helped me grow, and every challenge has been an opportunity to learn from those around me and develop new skills.

📖 When I'm not working:
You'll usually find me travelling, spending time with family, getting stuck into a good book, or catching up on a TV series with my dogs nearby.

✈️ A fun fact:
I'm also an independent travel agent, so I'm either on holiday or planning the next one!
