TTEG (Tre-Telynog Environmental Group) Formed March 13th 2007. We have currently received and spent over £45,000 of funding in our local community!

*TTEG started as an environmental group for children in Cwmbach. (South Wales, UK) *We've tackled litter in our area with 5 'clean ups' each year (since 2007). *We've provided 12 dog fouling bins and 14 new litter bins within an area of 2 square miles. *We work in partnership with Keep Wales Tidy, Trivallis, RCTCBC and local residents. In 2012 we designed and created the 'Woodland Walk' project. T

his area of dirty waste ground has been completely transformed into a walk through garden.2014. .- Year of the Nature Trail... Over 5 tonnes of fly tipping removed from the woods, 250 metres of mountain stream now free flowing, existing paths cleared and new ones created.2015 - Bro Deg Woodland was formally listed as a nature trail with seating, steps and 3 interpretation boards including site maps.2016. - Supporting 'clean up' projects with Trivallis on other estates in RCT as well as maintaining our projects.2017 - TTEG will be looking to focus on urban regeneration and advise on maintenance of green spaces in the existing areas.

4 bags collected from Bro Deg Woodland today I had help which is rare bonus... it's a shame when young people who like a drink and a smoke can't find a bin (there's one at the top of the woods) but I guess you can't educate pork.

Why make a mess where you like to sit , it still baffles me even after 20 years of cleaning the village !

Here are the 'before' photo's of Abercwmboi from Mid-December 2025, the key to a successful project is getting EVERYONE around the table. Three meeting took place in planning this event, these photo's were taken to assess what was needed at the first formal meeting with Cllr. Julie Cook (event organiser) and Michelle who I work with from Trivallis.

At the second meeting Cynon Taff Housing came on board, discussion centred around the format for the event and what should be our priorities, they agreed to provide the refreshments and promote the event. Finally meeting three... we were lucky enough to have RCTCBC Street Care attend this one, we were all very relaxed by now, the sole purpose was to iron out anything we'd missed.

Also attending on the day - Keep Wales Tidy and 'Tempo' Time Credits, a big thank you to Michelle for bringing these on board.

This how how TTEG delivers time and time again... Brutal planning, inclusion of ALL partner agencies, while keeping it fun and entertaining for volunteers!

So this is what cleaned up last Thursday 29th Jan... Back lanes (3) running the entire length of the village behind the main road through Abercwmboi and we included the back of Mostyn Street. Considerable work was carried out in the weeks before the Litter Pick by Lee's team from RCTCBC Street Care who basically ploughed through about 3 tonnes of fly tipping. And what a team they are to work with, thank you guys! More photos to come.
