Just something we thought was worth sharing, especially with so many children heading back to school. ❤️

At first glance, this looks like a completely innocent photo… but if you really stop and look at what’s in the background, you might be surprised by how much information it could give away to someone you don’t know. 👀

You could accidentally be showing things like:
• Your house number
• Your street name
• Your car registration
• Which school your child goes to
• Your child’s age
• Your name
• Whether you’re married or in a relationship

And then we add captions with names, places, dates, school names, check-ins or even where we’re heading next… without really thinking about it.

Of course we all love sharing photos of our children and those little everyday moments. There’s nothing wrong with that at all. ❤️ It’s just worth taking an extra few seconds before posting to have a proper look at the whole picture and think about what someone else might be able to work out from it.

Sometimes it’s the little details we don’t even notice that can give away more than we intended.

Just a little reminder to think before you post and keep those precious little ones safe. 🧡

And finally, to all the children going back to school, we hope you have the most amazing time! 🎒📚❤️

🚗Driving Tip Thursday:

Did you know that tyre pressures can affect your fuel
economy, handling and braking distance?

Checking your tyres only takes a couple of minutes and
could:
✔️ Improve fuel efficiency
✔️ Help your tyres last longer
✔️ Increase grip on the road
✔️ Reduce the risk of a blowout

While you're there, don't forget to check your tread depth
too...the legal minimum is 1.6mm, but replacing them
before they reach this limit can improve safety, especially
in wet weather (which we know all too well in Buxton!)

📢 IMPORTANT BANK HOLIDAY UPDATE 📢

Just a quick heads-up that we’ll be closed on Monday, 31st August for the Bank Holiday so our team can enjoy a well-deserved long weekend with family and friends. ❤️

Another busy week here at Grove Insurance Services! ☀️

This week we celebrated Carol's return to work with a lovely team lunch at the fabulous Santiago Restaurants in Buxton. Great food, great company and it was brilliant to have the whole team back together again! 🍽️❤️

Like many of you, we also took a few minutes out of our busy evenings to watch the partial solar eclipse. Sadly we weren't lucky enough to get our hands on the now-famous viral eclipse glasses, but Katie wasn't going to miss out... armed with nothing more than a cardboard box, tin foil and a bit of tape, she made her own eclipse viewer! Safe to say it did the job. 🌞📦😄

And of course, we're still enjoying another heatwave with temperatures reaching 35°C! Not exactly what we're used to here in Buxton. The ladies in the office are absolutely loving it, while the gents have spent most of the week reminding us just how hot it is every five minutes! 😂🌡️

🌒 Is anyone planning on watching the solar eclipse tonight?

If the clouds play nice, we should be able to catch a partial solar eclipse this evening. It's always amazing to see, even if the Moon is only covering part of the Sun. It's the biggest partial eclipse we've seen in the UK since March 2015, so it's a bit of a special one!

If you're heading out for a look, just remember not to look directly at the Sun unless you're using proper eclipse glasses. 👓

💛🎗️Today we're delighted to welcome Carol back to the office!🎗️💛

Over the past few months, Carol has been undergoing chemotherapy, and we're delighted to share the wonderful news that she is doing well and is now returning to the office.

Throughout her treatment, Carol has remained a valued part of our team, helping out whenever she felt able, and we're incredibly proud of her strength, resilience and positive spirit.

We'd also like to say a heartfelt thank you to all of our wonderful clients who have asked after Carol and sent their kind wishes. Every message has been passed on to Carol by her daughter Katie, who also works here with us, and your support and encouragement have meant so much to both Carol and the whole team.

For the time being, Carol will be back in the office Monday to Wednesday, 9:00am–3:00pm while she continues her recovery. We hope she'll be back to her usual hours before too long, but for now we're just so happy to have her back where she belongs.

Carol, welcome back. We've missed you, and we're so grateful to have you with us. ❤️
