Club Camp 2025 begins with blue skies and sunshine 🌞⛺

Another world’s first attempt!
As many of you know, Richard and George have previously swum the English Channel as a relay and, in what was a world’s first at the time, a relay from mainland UK to the Scilly Islands.
Now, in their third (and final) challenge, they and six others will be attempting another world’s first by swimming back to somewhere in the UK from the Channel Islands! This will be their biggest swim (at least 56 miles), expected to be around 30 hours in water temperatures between 14 and 15⁰C in just swim shorts and a hat!


The team of eight has self-funded the challenge and is raising money for two charities:
The Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) and The Marine Conservation Society
We will set off to Alderney on Sunday 29th June with our ‘swim window’ opening on Tuesday 1st July. Let’s hope for kind weather and sea conditions so we have a safe and successful swim back to England!

And that’s a wrap for club camp 2024. 😎

Today saw our annual Bob Myles Open Water Competition where everyone got to put there water rescue skills to the test. 🏊‍♀️

Huge well done to everyone who took part and a massive thank you to the trainers, timekeepers, parents, swimmers and lifeguards!

What a wonderful weekend we have all had. 😁
