£29.7 MILLION returned to credit union members across Great Britain!

One of the things that makes the credit union movement different is that its success can be shared with the people who save and borrow. Across Great Britain, credit unions have returned £29.7 million through dividends.

At Northern Community Bank, we call this our 'share of the profits'. And at our 2026 AGM, our account holders received a 2.75% share of the profits, alongside a 17% loan interest rebate for eligible borrowers.

It's another example of how community banking puts people at the heart of what we do.

Our Development Officer, Lee, recently visited the team at Liquid Science Solutions in Burnley as they joined Northern Community Bank's Payroll Plus scheme.

Payroll Plus helps employees build their savings by putting a little money aside directly from their wages. It's a simple way to develop regular savings habits and plan for the future.

During his recent visit to Cumbria, our Development Officer Lee stopped by The Centre in Maryport to present a £1,000 community donation to its staff and volunteers.
The donation forms part of Northern Community Bank's continued support for community centres in the areas we serve, helping local organisations that provide valuable spaces, activities and support within their communities.
It was lovely to meet some of the people behind The Centre and have the opportunity to say thank you for everything they do for the local community.
We hope the £1,000 donation helps them continue their fantastic work. 💚
