Just having a little ponder on a possible treat whilst we wait for Pete to finish carving his first piece of 2021.
Who thinks a mystery bag is a good idea? 👜
We haven't been able to share our lovely pieces at gift fairs this year, plus we have also been given two fantastic HK collections to sell on behalf of their owners, we have some older pieces so we have a fair number of older, very collectible pieces.
Am thinking about a mystery box with a piece plus some extra HK items which are no longer available to purchase 🤩.
The total value of the contents would be more than the cost of the mystery box. 📦
These would also make a great gift for an existing collector - or what a way to introduce a newbie to HK!

So what do you think? Is it something you would be interested in?

My thought is it gives everyone to add something new to their collection which you maybe wouldn't normally consider, or maybe you missed the first time round.

Well the first release for 2019 has been announced and is now available to order! Recharge is the companion piece to the 2018 Santa No Charge.

If you already have the Santa Piece ‘No Charge’ you will know that in 2018 the big man himself decided to try a new eco-friendly way of delivering presents – in an electric sleigh.

So the big question on everyone’s lips……. where were the reindeer? Stuck in their barn, bored and fed up? Apparently not. What would any self-respecting reindeer do when no longer needed by Santa? Go on holiday of course! So here they are, having fun somewhere warm and sunny and taking selfies.

Inside you will find their all important insect repellant spray. Reindeer are plagued by mosquitoes during warmer weather and can lose up to 2 pints of blood in 24 hours…. I have a feeling they will all be back together for Christmas 2019!

Collectors have been asking about the companion piece to No Charge. I have checked with Andrea and there seems to be a delay in production so chances are this piece will not be available until next year. Fingers and toes crossed that some are available before Christmas but if not what a fab piece to start the New Year!

I love the Harmony Kingdom Santa pieces but find it difficult to keep track of which ones I have and which ones I need to track down to add to my collection. The main problem being (apart from my age and not being able to remember what I did yesterday!) that I like to display my Santa's at the beginning of December and then pack them away on Twelfth Night so I have a lot of months where they are not actually in front of me which has led to the purchase of some duplicates! I have now solved this problem as I have produced the first of a series of printable Harmony Kingdom Reference Guide Pages which details the Santa Collection so I can make a note of each Santa in my collection and easily see which ones are missing!

Did you notice the last paragraph of the secrets insert in 'No Charge'? I quote - 'In the meantime, I wonder what the reindeer are doing? Watch out for 'part 2' of this piece to find out!' How exciting does that sound?

Lots of exciting things happening at Harmony Kingdom. Pete, Andrea, Sam and Millie now have their lovely new house under construction (after a very long wait!) and it should be ready for them to move into very soon now.
One of the plus sides for Pete (apart from a lovely new home!) is that he will have power connected to his studio (posh version of the shed!) so he will be able to carve in comfort.
They say that all good things are worth waiting for and how right they are! Along with the excitement of the Calvesbert's new house being built and Pete muttering things like footings and concrete, he has also managed to carve two new pieces. Four Skins - Naked Mole Rats - https://hkatloopyladies.co.uk/?product=four-skins - has been carved by popular request, and you know Pete likes the challenge of an unusual animal and this piece is fabulous. A Fixed Edition of just 250 pieces.
