A fantastic opportunity for a trainee paraplanner to join a small, friendly IFA practice based in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire. May also suit an experienced administrator looking to
become a paraplanner.
Role Title: Trainee Paraplanner / Administrator
Location: Bromsgrove, Worcestershire
Salary: Up to £30,000 plus benefits
Hours: Full time permanent role
Skills: Research, calculations, report writing, diary management
Who we are
We have an opportunity for an ambitious trainee paraplanner to join our offices in Bromsgrove. We are a well-established company offering investment, pension and mortgage advice to individuals.
Ongoing support and training will be provided.
Key Duties:
• Managing annual review diary
• Producing ongoing statement of suitability reports
• Producing financial planning reports in line with the client’s needs and objectives in
conjunction with the financial adviser
• Collating information for client flies, including dealing with providers and lenders
• Dealing with queries from clients, providers and lenders
• Processing new business from application stage to completion
• Management and chasing of pipeline business
• Sending off and chasing letters of authority
• Preparing reports and letters including valuation reports
• Managing the annual review diary, preparing client reviews, and producing annual
suitability assessment reports in accordance with company procedures
• Carrying out investment research
• Producing cash flow plans
• Diary management
• Arranging appointments
• Other general admin duties
About You:
• Team player but able to work on own initiative
• Excellent IT skills including MS Office
• Excellent numeracy and communication skills, especially written communication
• Friendly confident manner
• High levels of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage time and varied workloads
• Knowledge of investments, pensions and mortgages
• Knowledge of compliance requirements of an IFA
• Previous experience in paraplanning and mortgage administration useful
• Previous use of investment platforms would be useful, but training will be provided
• Previous use of back-office systems useful, but training will be provided
Qualifications
• Level 4 Diploma qualified or having made progress towards the qualification
