We’ve been made aware of phishing emails being sent from a Gmail account, pretending to be Broadstairs Folk Week and contacting traders. Thanks to the wonderful for taking the time to tell us!

These emails claim that:
• Your trading space is full / there is no space unless you act quickly
• You must pay within 24 hours to secure your pitch
• They use pressure tactics to get you to send money
👉 These emails are NOT from us.
👉 Do NOT send any money or personal details.

All official trader communication comes from our verified Broadstairs Folk Week email addresses and via our official channels only. Our spaces are filled for 2026.

If you receive one of these emails, please forward it to [email protected] and then delete it.

There’s a temptation right now to hold off on remortgaging, particularly if you've been on a 1-point-something-% rate for the last 5 years.

But the "we're waiting to see if rates drop" strategy is a risky game, especially in the current market. And actually, it's often an unnecessary risk anyway.

What a lot of people don't realise is that many lenders allow you to secure a new rate up to 6 months before your current deal expires.

If rates go up between now and your remortgage date, no drama. You locked something in early and avoided those increases.

But what if rates come down?

That rate we secured for you last month? We can often switch it. And if the market continues moving in your favour, we'll keep an eye on things and let you know if a better option becomes available.

So, whether rates rise or fall, you're in control.

That's the strategy.

Not sit and hope.

Plan ahead and stay flexible.👌
