After running this for a while, we are looking for supporters to help us facilitate expansion and really get this off the ground. Although, our fishermen in Brixham never used the platform we think with financial guarantee's we can allow fishermen to sell direct and track their sales via the MMO.

I personally really think this has legs but it needs financial backing from communities like you to make the change.

We have built a tool for small artisanal fishing vessels but need more support to serve more boats and a larger audience.

Unfortunately we are unable to continue orders through the app. It’s been many months since we started and we have learned a lot.

However, it’s not over!!

We have instead implemented a system that lets you know when to come down and buy fish from a local fishermen. This is more simple for you and more importantly for the fishermen. They don’t have to box up orders and we don’t set prices.

Also, as lockdown hammers prices at the fish markets we call on you again for support. That support can now be given in the app through a tiny subscription of which keeps this tool going.

As part of this subscription you will also continue to get texts as the rest of our users return to only getting notifications. Any new features will be for our club members and supporters first as something to say thank you.

When a boat posts on the app now you’ll get some information about them and some instructions on how to find them and what to bring along with you.

We hope that you continue with us in what has been a fun and warming experience so far.

It's been a bit quiet on our front. The weather has been terrible so ultimately not much to report, however, hopefully there is a break in it soon and everyone can get back out there!

We are still planning to run but the little boat pulled out in the end. So we will be hunting for more fishermen with small boats that want to connect to the locals! 🎣🎣

I have approved all the accounts in the area ready for the first Brixham trial this week. I’m super excited for our tool to be used in the area but be patient as sometimes these things have a few teething issues.

We are setting up in Brixham, connecting you directly with small scale fishermen selling the best produce. If Covid has taught us something it’s that we should all know how our food is caught.

❌🤬 It makes us angry how food has to travel 100s of miles when it’s on your doorstep.

The old school ways of buying straight off the boat have been modernised.
