As many of you know, I’ve run the Bath Half before — but this year I wanted my running to help others rather than just myself. I’ve decided to use my events to raise money for awareness for charities that really matter to me.
For this Bath Half, I’ve chosen to support SafeLives, a charity working tirelessly to end domestic abuse and to raise awareness of coercive control in relationships. This type of abuse is often hidden but deeply damaging. My best friend endured an abusive relationship for over 20 years before finally finding the strength to walk away with nothing.
More needs to be done to support victims — and, importantly, to hold perpetrators accountable so the cycle of abuse doesn’t continue from one person to the next.
If you’re able to contribute to this incredible charity, I’d be so grateful.

How Will Aid works
Participating solicitors draw up a basic Will for clients without charging their usual fee. Instead, they invite their clients to make a voluntary donation to Will Aid. The suggested donation level is £100 for a basic single Will or £180 for basic mirror Wills. Donations support the vital work of the nine Will Aid charities to help people in need in the UK and around the world.

Will Aid is a national will-writing campaign which takes place every November.
