Bristol Masons Brethren from The Dunckerleys Club have had a fabulous 3 days in the Polish Capital Warsaw and are already planning there return trip.

Visiting is the lifeblood of masonry.

Members of The Dunckerleys Club comprising brethren from 8 different Bristol Masons Lodges traveled to Warsaw in Poland to attend a meeting at Enigma Lodge Number 15 at the Grand lodge of Poland . Great night had by all.

Brother William Lindsay was initiated into Chatterton Lodge this evening.

His brother Alstair Lindsay a Somerset Mason and a representative of the The Adair Club was in attendance too and did the visitor response. He also presented the Adair Club lapel and informed his brother he is now an Honorary member of the Adair Club.

Will also was the first new candidate to receive the new DUNCKERLEYS WELCOME PACKS from the Worshipful Master of Chatterton Lodge Anthony Gorman and The Dunckerleys Club Chairman and Will’s Proposer Adam Chambers , these new packs which were kindly funded by Bristol Masons will be distributed and presented to all future candidates by either there Dunckerleys Club Representatives or the relevant Lodge WM .

Next time you pass by the Bristol Masons building on Park Street (Freemason Hall) look up at this exquisite Frieze. It’s sculptured by Edward Hodges Baily whose most famous work was Nelson on Nelson’s Column in London’s Trafalgar Square.

He also did work on Buckingham Palace , Westminster Abbey and Marble Arch.

Another of his most famous pieces was Eve at the Fountain that now sits in The City Museum but originally sat in the reception hall of Freemason Hall.
