This is Money shines a spotlight on what to do if you think you are missing out on your workplace pension rights this week.
After a worried reader got it in touch with columnist Sir Steve Webb about concerns their daughter’s employer was not paying contributions into her pension, he brought it to our attention.
People rightly expect their hard-earned pension contributions to be paid promptly into their scheme to help them plan and save for retirement.
To ensure people get the pension pot they are due, we first and foremost support employers to meet their legal automatic enrolment (AE) duties.
➡️But where necessary, we will use our powers to protect people’s savings, including fining employers and, in some cases, prosecution.
➡️We have recovered hundreds of millions of pounds in unpaid contributions since AE launched in 2012.
If you have concerns about your workplace pension, get in touch via our whistleblower hotline, but we always advise that, if your pension complaint relates to your employer, you should speak to them first.

My daughter's pension scheme wrote to say her firm would no longer be paying in. However, her employer has still deducted contributions in every month since.
