Well what a crazy start to the new tax year 😳. I’m going to take a break and spend a week with my family.

I have some exciting news to share

Absolutely amazing news and I’m not finished celebrating yet! It’s such a wonderful feeling knowing that clients are happy and I’m being recognised for my hard work

This follows on from success of last year becoming a finalist in student of the year. What will next year bring 😬

A few weeks back I was contacted by Charlie looking for an apprenticeship.. we were not in a position to take anyone on. I gave him some pointers on his CV and how to go about getting a job. We had a bit of back and forth with him updating his CV... he then asked me..what next..

I told him.. print these off 100 times and go to all the local suppliers and hand them out...face to face.. So...today..off his own back he's been out in the rain all over. I went to Pochins in Scunthorpe and I saw this on the counter.

What we have is a young kid..who can follow instructions who is looking for a chance to prove what he's about. He is offering a free 2 week trial. No contracts..minimal risk for both parties.

I have taken on 6 apprentices over the past few years and with simple instructions and lists..I have had outstanding results. Apprentices can push your business to the next level.. there are some good people out there who need a break.. this lad needs that break.

I’ve decided to increase my hours from September so I will be able to take on a few extra clients. This is rare, I have had my books closed for a while. If you’re interested don’t hesitate to get in touch, any spare capacity usually fills up fast.

Brigg Bookkeeping Ltd is a new practice offering a wide range of bookkeeping services across various industries. Although this is a new practice, I have extensive experience that I bring along with me.

Prior to setting up Brigg Bookkeeping Ltd, I worked in various finance roles for 25 years. I have very diverse experience across a variety of businesses both service and manufacturing. After 25 years of working in industry I decided to branch out on my own and set up my own practice.

I have updated my qualifications and I am extremely proud to say that I was nominated as student of the year
