Now that my final client of the year has completed on their lovely new home just in time for Christmas, I just wanted to take a minute to say a huge thank you to everyone who's asked me to help them with their mortgage and insurance needs this year.

So much of what I do also comes from your kind recommendations, and I'm honestly so grateful for every single person that passes on my name. It really means a lot.

Every year keeps getting better and better, and I am so excited to help even more of you in 2026. The joy of helping someone buy their first home, dream forever home, or simply just review their existing mortgage, hasn't gone yet and doesn't look to be any time soon. I can't wait to help even more of you next year!

It has today been announced that the Bank of England Base Rate is coming down to 3.75%.

Wondering what this means for your mortgage?

- If you are currently on a fixed rate, you are not impacted right now. Your monthly payments are currently fixed and will remain the same until your set end date.

- If you are currently on a variable or tracker rate, your interest rate will change in line with the base rate change. Your specific lender will be in touch to confirm your new monthly payment going forward.

Put simply, a Remortgage involves moving your mortgage on your existing home to a new lender, whereas a Product Transfer is switching to a new product with your existing lender.

It's always worth checking which is the best option for you and your circumstances at least 6 months before your current deal is due to end. 💚
