We recently held a prized pet competition to see the pets we are missing from the office and also the pets we don't normally get to see 🐈 We chose our winner this week and I want to congratulate Shadow 🐾 our winner 🏆, who has been ensuring to keep his paws clean during the pandemic. A massive shout-out to all of the other entrants, it was really great to see them all 🥰

Here at Amigo we have been busy settling into working remotely. To ensure we are staying connected we have created a concept: Navigating The New Normal, which is a calendar of events to keep our employees involved and engaged. We are all getting involved in anything from weekly workouts, quizzes, prized pet competitions and remote working support sessions, so expect to see insight to what we are up to over the coming weeks!

In just under a week some of our employees will be travelling to Cambodia, to take part in Globalteer's own rural programme, Helping Hands. They will be helping with English classes, arts, games, sports and the breakfast programme.

They have done a great job of fundraising, with the current total coming in at over £7,250, hitting £1,250 above target. This amount will make a significant difference to the programme and is enough to keep it running for a further 2 years!

Below are some pictures from some of those attending and fundraising events they have held over the past few months. They have all worked extremely hard to reach and exceed their target, holding quizzes in the office, wrapping Christmas presents, raffles and games nights. We want to wish them all the best of luck and we look forward to seeing what they get up to.

Today is Time To Talk day, which is an opportunity for people to share their experiences with mental health. Opening up can be tough, but it can be extremely helpful once you do and receive the help you need.

At Amigo, we had a great response last year from our colleagues and it is something we are embracing again this year. We are opening up for conversation and sharing tips on how we stay mentally healthy.

Two weeks ago we invited our partnered military charity into the office to hold a 'Who Dares Wins' style event 💪 There were 4 stations to test our Amigos, which included kayaking, observation and memory, laser rifle shooting and the yomp (weighted trek) 🧗 It was a great day, creating a real buzz around the office and bringing every department together. We also managed to raise an amazing £3,483 for the charity!
