When an existing funding solution fell through at the eleventh hour, a £50,000 auction deposit was on the line.
 
Futurity Finance called TAB’s Kris Day, and the team moved quickly. Terms were issued within hours, the application was submitted that same evening, and just 9 working days later, the deal completed.

Catch Up Friday 👋

This week, we’re heading up to Scotland with Abby and Kris! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Abby made the trip up to join Kris for a busy few days meeting brokers across Scotland. As Kris’ BDE, Abby is usually based in our UK office, working behind the scenes to manage enquiries, handle the internal admin and help keep deals moving smoothly.

This week gave her the chance to get out from behind the phone and meet some of the brokers she speaks to every day face-to-face. 🤝

And it was certainly a busy one… with around £50m worth of enquiries received this week! 🚀

They also caught up over lunch with Liv Roscoe and Kuran Olak from DMK Finance, great to put more faces to names and strengthen those relationships in person.

But arguably the biggest achievement of the trip?
Abby tried haggis… and actually liked it. 😂🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Momentum is everything.

Every deal starts with a reason. Whether it’s a purchase or a refinance, understanding what’s driving your client can make all the difference.

What’s the vendor’s motivation to sell? Why does your borrower need to complete? What are they trying to achieve by raising capital or restructuring debt?

Once you understand the motivation, set clear expectations from day one. Agree what information is needed, when it needs to be provided, and work towards a realistic completion date. Keeping everyone focused on the end goal helps maintain momentum and gives your deal the best chance of completing on time.

Rather than talking about targets or numbers, he shared his own journey, from becoming TAB’s very first Internal Salesperson with nothing more than a phone and a call list, to leading the team today.
One of the standout moments was seeing baby photos of the whole Internal Sales team alongside his own, a reminder that leadership is about people first and helping others grow.

🚗 Connor hit the road
Connor swapped HQ for Southampton this week, taking the TAB hat on the road to spend the day with Charlotte.
It was a great opportunity to put faces to names, meet brokers from Positive Lending and Adrian Cole at Commercial Mortgage Solutions, before stopping off at Ferndown Forest Golf Club for lunch with James from Delta Mortgages.
