Croft fisheries

I can not stress enough that there is a strict policy of NO UNDER 16’s allowed on the fishery without an appropriate adult.

Again tonight a group of kids have been on messing about. For a start they didn’t pay. Number 2 left litter everywhere after we’ve been out tidying up all afternoon. And number 3, giving back chat to Kirsty.
Lovely kids.

This rule isnt us being harsh. It’s for insurance purposes.

We are talking about re introducing the kids matches next year what used to be run by Andy Gibbs. Keep posted for that 🎣

The canal is 2 mins walk away and it’s free. And just a word of warning too, get them a rod licence. It’s free for under 16’s. If they get caught without you’ll end up paying a fine.

On the plus side, we would like to thank everyone for the messages of support from yesterday. The amount of people asking to help out in some way is overwhelming. Thankyou. 💙

We can’t wait to get these waters back to how they should be. Anyone selling f1’s carp and ide 😂

Good morning everyone.

I’ve not posted on here for a couple of years and just wanted to give everyone an update.

As most of you a well aware, the fishery hasn’t been doing great this last couple of years. Not fished great, overgrown, pegs unsafe, things not finished, the algae on the water, The list is endless.
But I only have myself to blame, other businesses and family life took priority and falling out with fishing myself means that I just havnt put the time and effort into Croft fisheries.

Also the canals have been closed for a while now due to fly tippers constantly, kids smashed all the ticket office and toilets up and people pinching fish. It wasn’t sustainable for us to keep it open.

Again other things had to be a priority before any work happens down there. John also has had a lot going on, moving house and doing a full renovation.

But we have some good news….

Work will commence in the next couple of weeks down on the canals.

New ticket office and toilets, car park freshen up, overgrown trees removed, Canals cleaned out , new pegs install and most importantly a restock of fish.

We hope to get the gates open for Jan - Feb 27.

Work will also start soon on the lilly pads, trees removed, pegs sorted and major tidy up along with Huyton 1 and 2.

Again I apologise for the fishery being neglected, but we will bounce back in 2027.

A massive thanks to everyone that still supports us.

And a big thanks to our baliff Chris Wane who gives up his time tidying up etc.

Due to unforseen circumstances the Adlington Angling Centre & Paul Goldsmith FREE Young Anglers Matchat Croft fisheries this weekend will be postponed until further notice. 🥲
As soon as I can arrange another date I will let you all know. 🎣🐟❤️
