We, like many others, are saddened by the news of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, following seventy years of loyal and devoted service to Great Britain and the Commonwealth.

As a mark of respect here at Mortgage Xperts our offices will be closed on Monday 19th September.

Our thoughts and condolences remain with the Royal Family, and all those affected by the news at this time.

Halifax and Santander launch 95% mortgages next week under the government’s new scheme. Call us for more details 📞🙂

The first lender in at 95% will be Accord Mortgages (part of Yorkshire building society). Launching tommorrow this 95% scheme will be for first time buyers only and will NOT include new build properties or flats/apartments of any age.

Expect the lenders credit scoring requirement to be very high and likely that the product could be pulled quite quickly given the expected demand. This scheme is not government backed, we expect more lenders to follow as we move forward. 🙂👍🏻

We are getting a lot of questions about the 5% mortgages with government assistance announced in the budget.

There is an ongoing consultation process with the lenders and we expect something to be in place around April time 👍🏻🙂

With immediate effect, Stamp Duty Land Tax will no longer be payable on properties purchased up to £500,000🏡
