Just to let everyone know, we have a new page !
This is mainly due to the clubs historic name "Alnwick and district" causing a bit of confusion because we are actually based in Bebside, Blyth, and that seems to be what we are known as, this is simply to make us more accessible and easier to find.

The clubs name will remain the same as we are very proud of the fact that we have managed to run the club for so long, and we really appreciate all the help and support, not only from the founding members, but everyone who has contributed over the years to the running of our club.

I would like to ask you all if you could "like our new page which is :
Bebside gun club

The old page will remain open for a while till we are satisfied that enough people have found our new one, we thank you in advance and hope we can count on your continued support of our club.

On a very positive note, I would like to add that morale at the club is at an all time high, with everyone mucking in and really enjoying their shooting.
The club would like to thank Davie Harvey, Trevor Laidler, Jim peel, John ???? Our new guest/member (you know who you are ) and everyone else involved , for busting their humps doing all the change around and ground works that have had a massive impact on the shooting ground, it is looking better than it ever has, despite the upheaval we have endured in recent months.
I would also like to say a personal thank you to Davie Harvey especially, for all his hard work, setting up and maintaining the traps, for thinking up new targets and games, for scoring and generally doing his best to drive the club forward, I am sure everyone at the club is very appreciative.

A brilliant midweek shoot this evening at bebside with our new eurotrap set up being the star of the show ! So much fun !
For those of you who don't know what it is, picture a raised platform (10ft high) two man team game shooting at 4 clays flying out from underneath you, with a bit of quick draw skill thrown in as the clays are fired as soon as you close your gun !
I will post more details soon as we are hoping to make it a semi permanent fixture alongside 30 sporting on a Wednesday night

Who is shooting Lambton at the weekend then ?
Just hope the weather holds out, it got a wee bit damp last year !!
And remember, if you are going, take along your CPSA card or proof of insurance, or you will not be allowed to shoot !

I would like to give a special mention to Bywell shooting ground and especialy daniel, who pulled out all the stops to help me out recently.
After a mishap with a dodgy factory round resulting in a bullet wedged in the barrel of my rifle, they took it from me without the third degree, it was sent back to the factory, repaired, returned to me and all my ammo replaced with much better quality stuff with no hassle, no arguments or accusations.
In a time where bad service in retail seems to be endemic, this was much appreciated, and those of you who use Bywell regularly, I'm sure would agree that this level of service from them is just the norm.
Thanks again lads.
