We've recently had some new hens join our flock, meaning we have more eggs available at the moment. Laid by happy hens in their spacious barns.

As registered poultry keepers, Defra keeps us informed of every case of confirmed bird flu in the country. Despite the local reports of cases at Shaftesbury Lake and Tadpole Garden Village we have not been contacted. As a precaution though, we have made the decision to keep our hens indoors until we have official guidance from Defra.
The hens are in their spacious barn with an earth floor so still enjoy their dust baths and are having extra treats of vegetables to make up for missing the great outdoors.
