What an incredible evening at the Leicestershire & Rutland County FA Recognition Awards 2026. ⚽️🏆

It was a pleasure to celebrate alongside more than 400 guests at Athena, recognising the volunteers, coaches, referees, clubs, leagues and individuals who make such a positive impact through football across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Congratulations to all of this year’s worthy winners and nominees! 👏

Many parents and grandparents want to leave a financial legacy for their family, but with Inheritance Tax becoming a growing concern, it may be worth considering how and when wealth is passed on.

Simple steps such as making use of gifting allowances, contributing to a Junior ISA, or even starting a pension for a child can help future generations while potentially reducing the value of your estate for tax purposes.

With proposed changes to pension inheritance rules on the horizon, reviewing your estate planning strategy has never been more important. The key is planning early. The sooner you put a strategy in place, the more options you may have to protect your wealth and support your loved ones.

please note: A pension is a long-term investment not normally accessible until age 55 (57 from April 2028 unless the plan has a protected pension age). The value of your investments (and any income from them) can go down as well as up

It was a privilege to attend the New Referees Celebration Evening at King Power Stadium last night.

It was fantastic to see such a diverse group of people taking on the challenge of becoming referees and successfully completing their courses. The passion, commitment, and willingness to step into such an important role within the game was truly inspiring.

I’m looking forward to supporting and celebrating in the future.
