This is feedback copied from an email sent to us by a client yesterday following our recommendation that they use the Purchase Automation function available on Sage Accounting Standard to upload any invoices that need to be included on their VAT return.

Purchase Automation automatically pulls critical data from uploaded purchase invoices and receipts, populating invoice fields helping you to save time and reduce errors. It is a tool included in the cost of Sage Accounting Standard.

Our aim isn't just to tell clients how much tax to pay. We constantly look to identify opportunities to guide our clients on how best to maintain their financial records and what tools they can use to make this process more efficient.

Q: Is there a contract tie in period with your company? This question was recently put to us by a prospect.

A: The short answer is no. We do have to obtain a digitally signed letter of engagement from clients to comply with the conditions of holding a practicing certificate issued by CIMA. However our view is that client retention should be achieved by providing a good service so we don't use contract clauses to enforce tie in periods.

Today we incorporated a new limited company for a locum optometrist based in London and have been engaged to manage the ongoing accounting requirements.

Today we've agreed to work with a newly established haulage company based in Spalding, Lincolnshire. We will be setting up Sage Business Cloud Accounting software and connecting this to their business bank account so that the bookkeeping, annual accounts and corporation tax return can be completed efficiently.
