The start of the clothes bank was to help and support families in need in and around our local area,

PERMANENTLY CLOSING

It is with a very heavy heart that I have to announce that Largo Community Childrens Clothes Bank will no longer be accepting any donations of clothes going forward. The clothes bank will close permanently on the 13th May, but it could be before depending on how quickly stock runs out. Any stock that is remaining after this date will be passed onto another local clothes bank.

The reason for closing is my husband and I are moving away from the Fife area but I plan to continue to help and support families where we are moving to.

I will continue to offer childrens clothes from newborn to 12 years from the existing stock that I currently have but will not be replacing it once it has gone. So if you or your organisation need some clothes please feel free to get in touch.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support, help and advice since we opened, without you we couldn’t have helped so many families in Fife, during these difficult times you really have made such a difference too so many children and their parents/guardians.
There are so many people I wish to thank but I’m afraid I might miss someone out and don’t want to offend anyone so a great big thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and everyone of you. Without you the clothes bank would not have been the success that it was. The donations of clothes we have received since we opened have been so greatly appreciated and helped so many children in the local area.
The really good news is Lisa Loo’s clothing bank in Methil is going to take over the childrens clothes bank, please continue to donate childrens clothes as much as you can. You are making a huge difference and more than ever with energy and food prices rising, we really are living in very difficult and challenging times.

Could I ask if everyone could share this post, so that we are making people aware of the situation that we are closing down and we are no longer accepting donations of childrens clothes.

HERE TO OFFER HELP
Largo community childrens clothes bank is here to offer families a helping hand with childrens clothes. We have a wide range to offer from newborn to 12 years of age, even if you are just looking for a few items or if you need more we are more than happy to help.

We only need to know child’s gender and age.
Pick up of clothes is from Lundin Links.
All requests are treated with privacy and confidential.

No donations of clothing being accepted at this time.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank an amazing group of ladies within our villages ( The Angels Share) who work so hard at raising funds for local causes. The clothes bank received the following donations and they have already left to go to new homes.

A huge thank you to a lovely lady Wils Hart for all her help and support to the clothes bank over the last year and for this amazing donation of underwear which was from the sale of her craft work in Largo Arts Week.

JANUARY UPDATE

Firstly I have to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated clothes this month. I have been blown away by everyone’s kindness and support.

We helped 31 children with clothes in January, the families and organisations that we support are very thankful.
We are not accepting any donations for the time being as we have a good selection of stock for all age groups.

DOES ANYONE NEED CHILDRENS CLOTHES?
We are now open for requests.

Largo community children's clothes bank aim is to help and support anyone or any organisation that need a bit of help with children's clothing. We have a wide range of good quality clothes to offer from newborn to 12 years of age. We offer bundles of clothes or even just certain items for example a child is needing a jacket, more hoodies or trousers.

2022 is going to be another challenging year for a lot of people, lone parents, working parents and parents/guardian who just need some assistance. We are aware that everyone is finding it a bit more difficult with zero hour contracts, redundancy, fuel, food bills and especially with the large increase to energy bills.
If you or anyone you know needs some childrens clothes please get in touch and we will try our best to help. You don’t need a referral, just private message us on our page, everything will be done discreetly.
All we need to know is gender and age of the child/ children and pick up of clothes is Lundin Links as we don’t deliver.
