🏦 Supporting Our Local Community 🤝

Ormeau Credit Union was delighted to recently support Ormeau Bowling Club with a donation to help the club continue the important role it plays within our local community. 💛

It was a pleasure to meet with Damian Gallagher and Raymond Pauley and to see first-hand the welcoming atmosphere and community spirit that exists at the club — we even had the opportunity to try our hand at a few bowls! 🎳😊

At Ormeau Credit Union, we believe strongly in People Helping People, and supporting local clubs, organisations and community initiatives is an important part of putting that principle into practice.

We are proud to support organisations such as Ormeau Bowling Club which bring people together, encourage participation and contribute so positively to the local area.

🍂💛 Proud to Support Emmanuel’s Autumn Kids Club 💛🍂

At Ormeau Credit Union, People Helping People is more than just a strapline — it reflects what we believe a credit union should be about: supporting people, strengthening communities and helping create opportunities for the next generation. 🤝

We are delighted to provide £3,000 of support to Emmanuel Belfast as they develop their children’s programme into an Autumn Kids Club starting this September. 🌟

Emmanuel Belfast provides free, inclusive activities for local children, with no cost to families and no church connection required. Their work brings children together from different backgrounds, providing safe activities, friendship, positive relationships and practical support for families in the local community.

The organisation works in an area where many families face significant financial and social pressures, and its aim is to provide children with the safe spaces, encouragement, structure and opportunities that can make a lasting difference.

🌟 Our First Ormeau Credit Union Member Forum 🌟

We were delighted to welcome members to our recent Member Forum, an evening dedicated to listening, learning and working together to help shape the future of Ormeau Credit Union. 💬🤝

The discussion focused on two important areas:

✅ The overall member experience
✅ How we communicate and engage with our members

Those attending had the opportunity to share their experiences, suggest improvements and discuss how we can continue providing a friendly, accessible and community-focused service. The feedback was honest, constructive and extremely valuable. 🗣️💡

A number of practical ideas and suggested actions were identified, which will now be considered by our staff and Board. This was not simply a consultation exercise—it was the beginning of an ongoing conversation with the people we serve.

A sincere thank you to everyone who attended, contributed and helped make the evening such a positive and engaging event. 🙏

💛 Proud to Support Our Community 💛

Ormeau Credit Union was delighted to present a grant of £2,300 to Annadale & Haywood Residents Association in support of their valuable work with local children, young people and families. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦🌟

The grant was presented by Ann and Kerry from Ormeau Credit Union to Chloe from Annadale & Haywood Residents Association.

This partnership reflects the values shared by both organisations: supporting families, reducing isolation, creating positive opportunities and helping people feel connected to their community. 🤝🏡

The funding will help provide inclusive activities and experiences for young children and their parents and guardians, including play-based sessions, arts and crafts, family activities and community outings. These programmes are designed to promote wellbeing, early development and stronger relationships within the local area. 🎨🧸🌳
