💡 Fantastic energy at our Dublin leadership event this week.

We brought together senior leaders from across our Irish portfolio for an evening of insight and connection - with an inspiring session led by Fiona English on purpose-driven leadership in times of rapid change.

From leading with clarity and resilience to empowering teams amid AI disruption and shifting markets, the discussion prompted powerful reflections on what modern leadership really requires.

The night wrapped with dinner and peer networking - a brilliant opportunity for leaders to share experiences and learn from one another.

GTM leaders from across BGF’s business services, consumer and tech portfolio recently came together to explore how go-to-market is evolving - and what smart scaling really looks like today.

💡Gautam Sahgal (former CEO at Perkbox) set the tone early: “You can go fast and break things - but if you break trust, culture or clarity, you’ll never recover. Smart scaling means keeping your soul intact while you grow.”

That message carried through a day packed with practical sessions - from balancing product- and sales-led growth, to using brand as a commercial driver and tackling real GTM challenges through live AI demos.

🌟The panel - featuring Dominic Bridgman (Former CRO, Amdaris), Gareth Miller (Former CEO, Cornwall Insight), Sarah Baumann (COO, Christopher Ward), and moderated by Streisan Bevan - brought candid insight from BGF-backed leaders on what it really takes to build scalable, values-driven growth engines.

🚀BGF invests $10 million in Cork-based GRANITE - Global Digital Agency to accelerate international expansion and AI-driven innovation.

Led by CEO Conor Buckley , Granite has 170+ digital specialists across three continents, delivering enterprise-grade digital solutions for clients worldwide. 
The funding will enable the company to:

➡️ Expand into the US market

➡️ Pursue strategic acquisitions to strengthen capability

➡️ Advance AI-led services for Irish and global clients

Granite has appointed Joy Marcus as Non-Executive Chair, following an introduction from BGF’s Talent Network - bringing deep US expertise to guide the company’s next stage of growth.

The deal was led by Joe Higgins and MJ Murphy from BGF’s Ireland team and marks BGF Ireland’s second-ever investment in Cork.

We kicked off with a panel on the evolving role of the scale-up CFO, followed by powerful sessions throughout the day - from forecasting and acquisitions to AI and building high-performing teams.

Last week we brought together trustees, colleagues and partners to celebrate an exciting milestone for the BGF Foundation - the launch of our new partnership grants. 🎉

As Chair, Andy Gregory reminded us that this work is about more than funding. It’s about creating partnerships that make a lasting difference for charities supporting young people across the UK.

This year marks our largest ever commitment - almost £750,000 in multi-year grants, bringing our portfolio to 10 charities - alongside skills, mentoring, and networks from BGF colleagues.

Hearing from Emmy O. (Oxfordshire Youth) and Raheeq Ahmad (LTSB alumnus) brought to life the real impact of belief, opportunity and long-term support and why this commitment matters.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us. It was fantastic to come together to celebrate this next step for the BGF Foundation.
