Newington Credit Union Newington Credit Union is a not-for-profit, member owned organisation, providing financial services to our members.

The modern Credit Union Movement traces its origins to Germany and to Friedrich Wilhelm Raiffiesen, the Mayor of a small town in Southern Germany who in 1849 formed societies which later turned into Credit Unions. The purpose of these Credit Unions was to enable people to help themselves in relieving debt and poverty.

Unfortunately due to ongoing events and for the safety of our staff and members, we have taken the decision to close our office from 1pm on Wednesday 10th June.

We will reopen as normal at 9am on Thursday 11th June.

DBI provides £2,000 of insurance cover to a member's nominated person in the event of their death.

In the case of an accidental death, the insurance cover is increased to £4,000.

To be eligible for cover under this insurance, a member must:
✅Have joined before the age of 70.
✅Have been eligible for cover under the Life Savings Policy.
✅Have a minimum of £50 in shares.

As long as you meet these requirements, you are automatically provided with this service.💙
