What a week its been in the world of a Mortgage Intermediary - we've had rates pullled with no notice, 1 hours notice, rates disappearing at the end of the day or at 10pm that night. Lenders pulling out of the market completly with no immediate plans to relaunch products, lenders pulling entire ranges of products, other lenders only offering a selct few products eg 5 yr fixed rates, 2 yr rates higher than 5yr rates, lenders jumping up to near 6% from sub 3% only a few weeks ago. It's been more crazy than 2008 - when I first qualified.

It just goes to show how important mortgage professionals are to aiding clients, not just in the crazy times.

The Bank of England has just announced interest rates have risen from 0.75% to 1%. This is the highest level since 2009 and the fourth consecutive increase since December.
