π‘ "My Tenant Has Been There For Years... Do I Still Need Inspections?"
It's a question we've been asked a few times recently recently by both landlords and tenants while we finish the last of the inspections.
The short answer?
Yes!
βοΈ Property inspections aren't about mistrust
βοΈ They aren't about catching tenants out
βοΈ And they certainly aren't about invading someone's home
βοΈ They're about protecting everyone involved
βοΈ For landlords, inspections help identify maintenance issues before they become costly repairs and ensure the property remains in good condition.
βοΈ For tenants, they provide an opportunity to raise concerns, report issues and make sure small problems don't become bigger ones later down the line.
Many of the issues we find during inspections are things that nobody has done anything wrong with. A faulty smoke alarm, a faulty seal, a small leak that doesnt cause a problem now or small maintenance issues, wear and tear that simply needs attention before it develops into something more expensive.
That's why inspections remain an important part of our management service, regardless of whether a tenant moved in six months ago or six years ago.
Prevention is almost always easier β and cheaper β than cure!
β¨ No pressure β¨ Just clarity
