What we did last Bank Holiday weekend…….

Sprinkle a few and a dash of
and we have our new regiment of 2026 Prine Blewkinse ❤️🖤💙🤍

From building a small village in a field, we gathered for fun, sun and a downpour ☔️

Friday night = peak night well nothing changes there. We all set up, and gather in the “beertent” to catch up

Saturday we descend into the local town and do what we do best, visit some pubs. provides an amazing space, kid friendly which is ideal 🙌🏻

Sunday is split between visiting the local tank festival or staying on site. Flying kites 🪁, playing games and enjoying the company.

Then…….. karaoke 🎤
Cheese fest 🧀
Port circle 🍷

It’s sad but true, our next event at Great Tew has been cancelled 😔

But do we let it get us down!!! NO!

We jump straight into finding something else to do instead ✨ Huzzahhhhh.

Thanks to our quick think CO and 2IC It’s a HAWKINS HOLIDAY ☀️

As a regiment we do far more than reenact 17th century history, we also like:

⛺️ Camping
🪩 Dancing
🎸 Live music
🏰 Sightseeing ( find us a castle )
🎲 Boardgames
🎮 Gaming
🍻 Social gatherings ( may or not be 🎤)
With plenty of other common interests which we enjoy together.

So instead of fighting the good fight ⚔️ we shall enjoy some social time, in field , still have fun 🤩 with out the excessive wool.

💥 Street Fighter 💥

Last Saturday a couple of lonely Hawkins went along to support at The Battle of Coleford.

Saturdays entertainment was brought out into the streets, with live action musket fire and small skirmishes.

Not all reenactment events happen in a field or on an estate. We can take the action into towns and create a huge presence, chatting with locals and drinking in the pubs too 🍻
