🚙 NEW DRIVERS — TAKE NOTE! 🚙

Big changes are coming to driving licences in Northern Ireland from 1 October 2026.

The new Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) scheme will introduce a number of changes for learner and newly qualified drivers, including:

📅 6-month minimum learning period
📖 Structured training and an official logbook
🔴 24-month period displaying a distinguishing mark
🌙 Restrictions on night-time driving
👥 Restrictions on passengers during certain hours
🚗 Special exemptions for carrying immediate family members

If you’re learning to drive — or have a new driver in the family — it’s worth knowing what’s changing.
