At McCarroll McConnell, we like to think of ourselves as fairly adaptable. One day we can be in the office dealing with our local clientele, another we can be in a stand surrounded by cows and sheep as we did at the Balmoral Show, the Ballymena Show, and most recently the Ballymoney Show.

Site visits, client visits- we don't have an issue getting stuck in.

But we also have a rather refined side...

We took to Titanic Belfast with the rest of the Provincewide Group on Saturday evening to celebrate our successes as a group (aka what a great bunch of guys we are), and to raise some funds for PIPS Su***de Prevention Charity.

We had a great evening catching up with our colleagues from other locally owned and locally focused brokers and we were able to raise a whopping £23,000 for PIPS. No less than they deserve for the fantastic work they do helping individuals, families, and organisations who have been affected by su***de or mental unwellness.

We're your truly local Broker. We believe we do good in the community and that we offer a fantastic service to clients, doing everything we can to meet your insurance needs. We've won prizes for our customer service and being the right place to work.

But let's not talk about ourselves for a moment....

We have been so very grateful for the support from local companies for our prizes this year at the .

We mentioned earlier in the the week that Hannah from Matter - A Brand With A Purpose was donating a clothing bundle over £100. Shes doing fantastic work to support mental health in the Agricultural Industry, so go on over and give her your support in the Eikon centre. Remember, it's ok to not be ok.

We have a returning partner in Lakeland Dairies Foodservice - UK/Ire who have generously given us another food hamper this year. This is always really well received and the items are top notch! We got to taste some of their ice cream earlier in the week, and boy was it a welcome treat on a hot day! Smooth, ice cold vanilla.... we're getting distracted.

We also have another new partner in North Coast Alpacas, who have donated a Family Pass (2 adults, 2 children). What could be better for a day out than visiting the cuddly alpacas on the North Coast, over looking Donegal, the ocean, and beyond. Take the furry friends for a walk around the farm or enjoy a family picnic on the paddock. They are available for families, events, weddings, parties, team building and everything in between!

To each of them who have been so kind to us- we don't take these things for granted, so thank you.

Local supporting local; we wouldn't be here without it.

Once more, with feeling!

Day 3 was another great day at the and we are ready to go today for our final day in the FSB stand.

The weather has been amazing and the venue has been jam packed with local folks supporting local. It's sort of our dream.

We have made a lot of contacts and we have really enjoyed speaking to local folks looking for a truly local Broker to meet their insurance needs. We have a lot of folks to call when we get back into the office!

We have one more Lego set to give away on the day, so make sure sure you bring the kids round to have a guess at the number of animals in the jar!

Ballymena Show

STORM ÉOYWN UPDATE 💨🌬

In light of Storm Éowyn bearing down on us within the next few hours, we have, like many sectors and business, taken the decision to ask both our Ballymena and Ballymoney office staff to work from home tomorrow, Friday 24th January. Our physical offices will be closed.

This is to protect staff, some of whom would have to travel significant distances to arrive in the office during the height of the storm, and also to suggest that the general public not be on the roads to call into our premises.

Stay inside and stay safe. Please do not drive unless your journey is essential 👍

We will still be operational with staff available on the phone, working from home; we have put extra effort into making this possible today.

If you are affected by the storm, please do get in contact. We understand that you may be anxious; let us assist you.

As a general reminder, it should be noted that no policy will cover damage to fences, hedges, or gates.

We aim to be open again on Monday 27th January at 9am. In the meantime, anchor your trampolines, tie down your dogs, and hope that you don't end up in front of a yellow brick road with a nasty green lady under your house.
