Nationwide, HSBC and Coventry Building Society are all putting some mortgage rates up.

We are receiving notifications from some lenders that they are increasing rates on new mortgage products , being driven by market volatility from the Middle East conflict and renewed inflationary pressures.

We are in the process of contacting our clients that have their current rate expiring within the next 4 months to secure a new rate.

Please note that this does not impact any mortgage deals that are already in place.

To our existing clients with your mortgage product rate expiring soon … 👀📈

We have a high volume of clients that have a 5 year mortgage rate expiring over the next few months and we are in the process of contacting you with your new rate options. 🧐🤔🏠🏡

However, it’s important to note that these expiring rates were secured during covid times when interest rates were at a record low, therefore many mortgage holders are now coming off 1% - 2% rates going onto approx. 4% rate, this is because interest rates have increased 14 times 📈
since December 2021 (but have now started to reduce slowly from August 2024). 🙏
