Yesterday I met with a lovely business couple from the United States, and it made me realise something.
In the UK and across Europe, using a currency broker is common. Most people buying property overseas or making large international payments know they have options beyond their bank.
In the US, however, one question kept coming up:
"How do we know it's safe?"
It's a great question, and one I think deserves a simple answer.
Firstly, we don't move money around in the way many people imagine. We work with major banking partners, just like the banks you already know and trust.
We're fully regulated, meaning we must comply with strict Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and perhaps most importantly, client funds are held in ring-fenced safeguarded accounts, offering an extra layer of protection.
But what really sets a specialist currency company apart is expertise.
Foreign exchange isn't just one of the things we do—it's all we do. Every single day.
We understand international payments, how to avoid unnecessary bank charges, how exchange rates affect the amount you receive, and how different payment options can save clients thousands.
Ask yourself this...
If you walked into your local bank to make a large international transfer, would you be confident that the person behind the counter specialises in foreign exchange?
Banks do an incredible job, but they also deal with mortgages, savings, loans, investments, business banking, insurance and much more.
At Pure Currencies, our focus is much narrower.
International payments are our business. That's why we've become experts in helping clients move money safely, efficiently and as cost-effectively as possible.
Sometimes, choosing a specialist really does make all the difference.
